Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC)

Microcrystalline Cellulose (C6H10O5)n FR-Cell/FR-Cell Prime is a white, free-flowing powder prepared by treating alpha-cellulose, obtained as a pulp from fibrous plant material, with mineral acids.

Main Applications

FR-Cell 101

  • Fine standard grade, very high compactibility, suited for wet granulation.

FR-Cell 102

  • Direct compression, better flow, high compactibility.

FR-Cell 103

  • Same quality as grade 101, but low moisture content for water sensitive actives.

FR-Cell 112

  • Same quality as grade 102, but very low moisture content, suited for direct compression.

FR-Cell 113

  • Fine particle size,
  • low moisture content, suited for dry granulation.

FR-Cell 200

  • Larger particle size, excellent flow for direct compression formulations.

FR-Cell 301

  • Same quality as grade 101, but increased bulk density and improved flow properties, potential for making small tablets.

FR-Cell 302

  • Same quality as grade 102 with higher bulk density, suited for high speed tableting.

FR-Cell 105

  • Very fine grade, masks bitter taste, high compactibility.

FR-Cell 12

  • Coarse grade, good compactibility, high

FR-Cell 14

  • Same quality as grade 12 but very low moisture content for water sensitive actives.
